This outstanding wine is created from the fine Armenian autochthonous Areni Noir grape variety from the Vayots Dzor region in Armenia. The over 120 years old vines, situated at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, show an outstanding adaption to the rough climate of this region

Vinification:  After being hand-picked and severely sorted, we used the combination of fermentation and maceration in traditional Karas (clay amphoraes of 1000 litres) at 20-28 °C. Aged on the skin for 2 months and pressed with small hydraulic press. The malolactic fermentation took place in Armenian oak barrels.

Aging process: Aged in 225 liters Armenian oak barrels for 1 year.

Serving Temp.: To be decanted and served at 18 °C

Food pairing: It can be served with meat dishes and traditional Armenian cuisine. 

Tasting notes: The wine presents itself in a ruby-red robe with scents of red fruits, spices and oak notes. A harmonic balance of acidity with a multitude of berry-like aromas, smooth tannins and a long-lasting persistence distinguish this noble wine.
